Primary Purpose:
Support secondary instructional programs including Core Content areas, MTSS/RTI, Professional Development, HB 1416, acceleration, and intervention at all levels in collaboration with the campuses in order to meet the needs of students, and to ensure instructional improvement.
Provide training for staff, students and families related to instructional programs. Serve as the liaison between central office and campus staff in the development and implementation of instructional programs.

Education/Certification:
Master’s degree preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Principal Certification preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum, design and implementation
Knowledge of district intervention systems
Knowledge of state curriculum and assessments
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Three years as a classroom teacher
Instructional coach experience
Administrative experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Curriculum & Instruction
- Collaborate with administrators and staff to effectively increase student achievement through coaching, PLCs, professional development, and use of best practices
- Provide guidance and support of use of available curriculum, instructional materials, resources, supplies, and equipment and recommend purchases for secondary campus implementation of programs.
- Develop, implement, and present professional development training to secondary teachers and administrators as needed.
- Provide technical assistance to secondary campuses, as needed, to ensure that program and curriculum implementation meets applicable local, state, and federal policies, regulations, and guidelines.
Intervention
- Develop and implement intervention procedures to support and monitor at-risk students at the secondary level and ensure that the resources are in place to support student success. Collect and use data to guide campus intervention efforts.
- Provide resources and materials to aid staff in accomplishing program goals and work with district staff to develop and encourage participation in programs that support at-risk students.
Instructional Programs
- Support all programs and projects, relevant to the needs of the district and make recommendations regarding participation.
- Provide training and support for all secondary instructional technology programs, including rostering, adding and removing teachers and students as necessary
- Monitor the use and implementation of all secondary instructional programs to ensure efficiency and instructional programs are cost-effective and managed wisely.
- Develop and implement a continuing evaluation of secondary instructional programs and implement changes based on the findings when necessary.
- Perform duties as required by federal guidelines.
